This pattern was originally designed for the Northampton sections of the Grand Union. With boat traffic very heavy during the summer months a slight shoulder was needed, to act as a break against surface movement when fishing the seed tight across. This pattern has also been used with great success in the east midlands on the drains and Nene, when fishing for Bleak on the long pole. Also at home for general squatt/pinkie fishing on any canal that is shallow across. Both wire and carbon stems available.
