John Fowler

I have been using this particular pattern for bloodworm and joker fishing, with some excellent results. Because they enable me to fish on or off bottom with great stability (Body up). I always incorporate a back shot on these patterns as I find it improves there performance further

Shotting patterns as follows:

0.4grms (Mick makes them for me)

I use an ollivette for the bulk with 2 No.12s and 2 No.13s as droppers, I also put a couple of 13s under the float to fine tune it.

4x12

I use a bulk of No.11s plus 2 12s and 2 No.13s as droppers. Spreading the bulk as the fishing session dictates.

4x10

I shot this pattern as the 4x12 but with a bulk of 12s.

4x8

This rig is shotted with 12s and 13s, these are strung out and work well when the fish want a light rig. also when the match gets harder.

The reason that I personally favor this pattern and feel it works for me, is because of its ability to sit well in the water, with the aid of a back shot you can get excellent presentation, even in the worst of winter conditions. Also when your on a pile of fish and using a bulk, you can really give it to em'!!
