I use this pattern for fishing my local stretches of canal from Milton Keynes to Northampton, When I intend to fish the bottom to half way up the shelves. All rigs are shotted the same, I use a semi-bulk of No.10 shot some 18 inches. (450mm.) from the hook. I then use 3 1/2 No.7 styls 4 inches (100mm.) apart to act as droppers, which I find gives me the right presentation when loose feeding squatts regular. I also always back-shot these floats with a No.10 shot which helps get line under the surface skim.
